What have to be done at the spring check?

During the spring check, the garage owner thoroughly cleans the underbody of your vehicle and removes road salt and dirt residues from the bodywork. All fluids are checked and refilled if necessary. The vehicle electronics and lighting are also checked. In addition, a comprehensive visual inspection of all safety-relevant components and the bodywork is carried out. If defects are found, the expert will repair them at your request.

Why is the spring check important?

In addition to all safety-relevant parts of the engine and bodywork, the spring check also checks the vehicle's air conditioning and tyres. Regular maintenance extends the life of the air conditioning system and prevents unpleasant odours caused by accumulated bacteria. For summer tyres, the age, tread depth and air pressure are checked. A comprehensive spring check can therefore be ideally combined with a wheel change in spring.

When is the right time to change to summer tyres?

"From O to O" is the best known rule of thumb for the right time to change tyres. This means: from October to Easter you drive safest with winter tyres, then it's time for summer tyres. However, since Easter does not always fall on the same date, the outside temperature should decide on the change - if the thermometer rises permanently above seven degrees, summer tyres are the right choice. In warmer temperatures they ensure safe driving and short braking distances with low wear.
