How to choose the right tire in the best Quality

Find fitting tyres with ease thanks to tyre labelling. More info and tips...

Tyre Sizes

If you have already identified your motorcycle or scooter, this makes the search for tyres easier. This is because only those potential tyres which will fit your vehicle are displayed.

Identify my motorcycle

However, you can also choose fitting tyres yourself, without identifying your vehicle. To do this, it is best to take a note of the complete tyre label, which can be read on the side of your old tyres. You can then submit the necessary data under the Tyre Registry.

This is how to read the sizes of your tyres:

1. Tyre width in mm

2. Relationship between tyre height and tyre width as a percentage

3. Tyre model: R = radial tyres, D = diagonal tyres

4. Rim diameter in inches

5. Load index (indicates the maximum permissible load)

6. Speed index (indicates the maximum permitted vehicle speed in km/h)

Tyres cathegories

In order to use the performance of your motorcycle or scooter optimally and safely, the right tire choice is crucial. Only the grip of the tire allows you to experience the wonderful feeling of acceleration and inclination.

Racing

Designed to run fast under optimal conditions, these tires are at home on the race track. Taking into account the correct tire temperature and a dry track, slicks (non-profiled tires) generate an extremely high grip. For the novice on the racetrack, race tires with a lightweight profile are suitable. These tires work over a wider temperature range and also in slightly wet conditions. If the track is completely wet, it is advisable to mount rain tire

Supersport / Hypersport

Developed for sporty driving, sports tires offer a very high grip on dry roads and warm temperatures thanks to the soft rubber compound and only slight profiling. In wet and cold conditions these tires are not optimal, as they last for less miles than, for example, touring tires. Mostly these tires are mounted on a supersport or a sporty naked motorbike. Occasionally, some sports tires can also be driven on the racetrack.

Touring

Whether wet autumn days or sunny summer days, these tires are designed to be driven in all weathers and to master many miles a year. Due to the lower operating temperature and the stronger profile than sports tires, touring tires guarantee a safe ride even in wet conditions. The slightly harder rubber compound gives this tire a high mileage. Touring tires are therefore ideal for the daily drive to work or longer tours and travels. However, you are less suitable for sporty driving in dry and warm conditions, as you will then reach your grip limit faster than sports tires.

Enduro

In case you ride gladly on non-paved roads or you are always looking for new adventures, then enduro tires are the right choice, apart of course from motocross use. Characteristic of these tires is the strong profile and therefore also the property to have a good grip off the paved roads. For enduro tires, a distinction is made between pure off-road enduro tires, on/off-road enduro tires and road enduro tires. The latter are usually mounted on adventure bikes or travelling enduros, which are driven mainly on paved roads in bad condition. Typical characteristics of road enduro tires are thus a high mileage and driving stability, good wet grip and a lot of ride comfort.

Custom / Classic

Choppers, world famous by Harley Davidson, are for most motorccle enthousiastics the epitome of freedom and individuality. Cruising or custom tires are designed for such motorcycles and are thus mainly suitable for long straight rides, less for top performance in curves. Cruising tires require high mileage, stability for straight directios and a high level of ride comfort. With custom tires, the driving quality is often less important but the tire emphasizes the look of the bike even more clearly.

Quality Tyres

Additionally, all our tyres are stored under optimal conditions. In this way, we can guarantee the high quality of our tyres, as the tyres barely age under these prime conditions. Kept in storage of this calibre, an average tyre can remain in mint condition for up to 5 years. However, we do of course still aim to offer tyres with the most recent manufacture date possible.
